Ex-Pristin’s Xiyeon’s Facts
Let’s see Xiyeon’s facts down below!
Xiyeon’s attractive point is her different eyes. Xiyeon’s real name is Park Junghyun, she tried to change her name legally to Park Siyeon but her grandmother was against it. Xiyeon has been a trainee since she was nine years old. One of the reasons and what motivated her to be a trainee in Pledis Entertainment is After School’s Kahi. At the age of five, Xiyeon won the popularity award held by Naver Junior Child Star. Junghwa from EXID and Jihyo from Twice were there too. When she was a trainee, she had a lot of commercials projects. Xiyeon’s face resembles a lot of senior celebrities such as Park Hyungsik, Red Velvet’s Irene, Han Hyojoo, Secret’s Jeon Hyosung, and announcer Jang Yewon. Among chicken parts, Xiyeon likes chicken breast the most. Xiyeon became the MC of Music Core in 2017–2018 along with Cha Eunwoo from ASTRO. Xiyeon speaks almost the same as a kindergarten teacher, probably because her mother is a kindergarten teacher. Xiyeon has a good relationship with the solo artist Chungha from Produce 101.
Ex-Pristin’s Xiyeon’s Pre-Debut
We all know that Xiyeon’s real name is not Xiyeon, not even her current stage name Siyeon is her real name. It’s Park Junghyun, the girl who once was a little girl from Anyang. She was born and raised there along with her family which consists of her parents, and her two younger sisters. Xiyeon who was born on November 14th, 2000, spent her childhood in Suwon’s schools, starting from kindergarten to elementary school. However, even before she finished elementary school, Xiyeon needed to say goodbye to her friends. She was accepted to be a trainee in Pledis Entertainment, one of the big K-pop agencies in South Korea that is famous for its girl group After School. Xiyeon who was so young at that time decided to leave her hometown. Fortunately, her father and mother were not against this even though it meant that she had to live in Seoul at such a young age. Xiyeon who was still in elementary school then transferred to elementary school in Seoul. But her journey to becoming an idol was quite tough. As we already know, Xiyeon hadn’t even celebrated her 10th birthday when she joined the agency. So, she had to wait for quite a long time for her actual debut, since to be a K-pop idol, a person should be at least 14 or 15 years old. Thus, Xiyeon waited. While she waited, she trained really hard in her agency. Xiyeon with her pretty face and beautiful hair attracted people’s attention by becoming a child actress for some commercials. She also appeared in some music videos of her seniors in Pledis Entertainment, for example, After School and Orange Caramel.
Ex-Pristin’s Xiyeon’s Participation in Produce 101
Xiyeon may have been too young when she became a trainee, but the years she spent while she was in the agency as a trainee were good enough to build her already great talent. This became apparent when Xiyeon was appointed to be one of the female trainees from Pledis Entertainment that became participants of Produce 101 Season 1. Her visual was one of her charms during that time. She had beautiful long black hair and fair white skin that made people notice her right away, especially among almost a hundred trainees that had joined the survival program. Let’s see some of the performances of Xiyeon when she was in Produce 101 Season 1.
What do you think about Xiyeon’s performances as a participant in Produce 101 Season 1? Finally, after she spent almost half of her life as a trainee, she got a chance to show it to people. However, unfortunately, Xiyeon didn’t make it to the final line-up. She was ranked 25th and was eliminated from the survival program.
Xiyeon’s Debut with Pristin
Being eliminated in the Produce 101 Season 1 program was such a pity for Xiyeon, but don’t worry, just remember the proverb: Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Xiyeon had spent almost ten years living the trainee life. It was a shame for her agency if she was still kept in the agency ground. Fortunately, Pledis Entertainment didn’t do that and Xiyeon was introduced to the public once again as one of the Pledis Girls in 2016. Along with other trainees who joined the survival program, Produce 101 Season 1, they were announced as Pledis Girlz on March 23rd, 2016. They released the song titled “We” on June 27th, 2016. Let’s see the music video of “We”!
