Davichi is one of the K-Pop groups that usually sing songs about love. One of the songs of this duo is titled “This Love.” “This Love” is a track taken from the original soundtrack of the popular Korean drama Descendants of the Sun, and such a tearful song because it was the theme song to the second lead characters Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won, whose tragic romance was just as eye-catching as the main Song Hye Kyo – Song Joong Ki couple.

Love Yourself: Answer is the final installment of the group’s Love Yourself series that began in 2017 and lasted until 2018, with the lead track titled “IDOL.” According to SOOMPI, the music video for “IDOL” also showcases traditional culture, featuring elements of Korea’s heritage in their costumes as well as the video’s imagery and setting. GOT7 gives a little help to high school boys who want to confess their love to their crushes. Wearing huge Rudolph head costumes, the members grab some students and take them to the school gym, which the boys of GOT7 have turned into the perfect holiday wonderland with decorated trees and romantic lighting. And once the couples finally meet and confess their love, GOT7 go all out as they congratulate them with happy dances, fake snow, and confetti.

 

TWICE – What Is Love?

The girl group TWICE released their mini-album What is Love? along with the music video for the title track of the same name in 2018. With composition and lyrics by Park Jin Young, “What is Love?” is a dance track expressing the curiosities and imaginations of girls who learned about love through books, movies, and dramas. It has a bright melody with up-tempo dance beats and trap genre rhythms, according to SOOMPI.

 

IU – Peach

IU once again succeeded in making K-Poppers’ hearts melt with her song titled “Peach.” The song is about a young girl’s fluttered heart, which makes it harder to even look at the person she loves so much. IU’s quiet yet determined voice, along with the calming melody, makes it sound as if she is really trying to confess her love with this song. IU played the recorder and triangle in this song, adding girly sensitivity to the song. The word “Peach” is IU’s favorite word, as well as her favorite fruit. She explained that she wants to be called “Peach” by someone she loves because she thinks the word gives a feel-good vibe in one’s through when pronounced. According to some portal news, IU revealed that Sulli was her inspiration to write this song. “I wrote ‘Peach’ thinking about Sulli, from a man’s point of view.” She didn’t further explain what characteristic of Sulli was so intriguing to write a song about her, but fans seemed to understand what she meant through her lyrics.

 

AKMU – 200%

Sibling duo Akdong Musician or AKMU is known for their cute songs. One of them is the song titled “200%.” “200%” is a song from their debut album Play. It is is an upbeat song with fun lyrics. The music video portrays a seemingly sweet, school love story, and stars Akdong Musician’s female member, Lee Soo Hyun. The male actor is model Nam Joo Hyuk, and the music video was filmed in Okinawa, Japan, according to SOOMPI.
