Then, a year later, he made a comeback with NU’EST’s Hello, Sleep Talking. In this era, he appeared with curly hair and the snapback. He looks so cuteee!
2014 – Good Bye Bye Era
On 9 July 2014, NU’EST made a comeback with the release of their first full album, Re:BIRTH, with the lead single “Good Bye Bye”. It was during this era that JR had blonde hair for the first time!Sometimes he made his hairstyle become a comb over undercut style.
2015 – I’m Bad Era
In 2015, NU’EST released ‘I’m Bad’, with a limited edition physical release on 15 March to celebrate their third anniversary. In that era, JR came back with his straight, black hair with long bangs.
2016 – Love Paint Era
NU’EST released their fifth EP, Canvas, and the accompanying single “Love Paint (Every Afternoon)” on 29 August 2016. After four years of promotions, the group received their first music show nomination on The Show. Then, on 6 October 2016, the music video for the duet track “Daybreak” from Canvas was released. “Daybreak” was a special unit track, sung by Minhyun and JR. In that era, JR appeared with grey and (I’m not sure, seems like he changed the color to blue) hair. He looks so extra and cool at the same time with that hairstyle.
2017 – Produce 101 Season 2 Era
As people know, JR joined a survival show titled Produce 101 Season 2 in 2016, with three other NU’EST members, Minhyun, Ren, and Baekho. In addition to his kind personality and the great leadership skills that he showed at the program, a lot of fans fell for his flower-boy visuals because of his comma hairstyle. His comma hairstyle also became a hot topic amongst Korean fans.
